Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the United States and is a writer from Greece, a syndicated journalist and a businesswoman. She's co-founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global, as well as the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an author TV personality, philanthropist, and owner of the independently free online news publication The Huffington Post. She was born in Greece and relocated to England at age sixteen. In Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA of Economics. The first graduate from outside the UK to be elected president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. Her popularity as a conservative columnist was consolidated after she graduated. After the launch of The Huffington Post a few months later, she launched an online platform for voice that gave an honest assessment of the current state of the nation's politics. In part, her fame has helped attract a number of famous contributors. Arianna became famous after she made the decision in 2003 to run as an Independent Candidate in the California Recall Election in order to succeed former Governor Davis. Aside from that, Arianna was also the leader of an initiative in Detroit initiative that promoted fuel efficient vehicles. Forbes placed her at 12 on their list of the Top Popular Media Women. Guardian also included the Huffington Post on their Top 100 list in the year 2010. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her as the president of their media company, which also included additional AOL brands like Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. She was born to a journalist and management consultant Konstantinos and his wife Elli Stasinopoulos. While she was very close to her father, it was her relationship with her mother that shaped her life. As a child she displayed leadership qualities which she is still renowned for. As a 16-year-old the girl moved into her home in United Kingdom for her higher education. In Girton College Cambridge. In her time at college, she was a member of the college debate society Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign president and was also the third female president. She graduated in 1972 with an honorary degree in Economics. After the graduation ceremony, she was a journalist and TV host. She appeared alongside Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began writing the books she wrote with Bernard Levin's assistance.
